I suspect the meat one is probably people that eat a lot of UPF, and stuff like heavy meat pizzas which are also high in carbs (not like a classic Italian one). Those who consume such items on a regular basis will more likely than not snack and eat on high carb and high fat (ultra)processed food which has been linked to T2D. Wonder when these clickbait titles will stop when it comes to healthcare!

I would have to agree. It most likely is the high carb food they eat alongside the meat. Using observational studies for nutrition just does not work for finding conclusive results.
