@Danni! Made the Nanaimo bars yesterday for Christmas. Yum! I'd post pictures but can't post pics in comments I guess. I didn't use gluten-free graham cracker crumbs but stuck to the rest of your recipe. Delicious! I'm glad you put number of grams for the chocolate because my 70% bars had 9 squares in total for about 100g in the whole bar, so if I had selected 4 squares it would've been too few. I doubled the recipe also and used a 9x13 pan-so now we have plenty to freeze! Thanks for sharing!

yum yum yum! I just had my 1st Nanaimo bar (and subsequent others) on a recent trip to Vancouver Island - and yes, actually Nanaimo! Wanted to try to make them, so thanks for the recipe! Can't wait to try it.

Awesome..having your first Nanaimo Bar in Nanaimo!!! Yes they are addicting. Which is why I had to adjust the recipe to be gluten free. I also reduced the sugar from the original recipe and use a buttercream layer rather then a custard. Let me know your thoughts if you make them.

I’m not a huge coconut fan but it’s subtle in the bar. I’ll let you know for sure!

Feel free to take it out of the recipe. And use butter instead of the coconut oil. You can just add 1/2 cup more of the graham wafer crumbs.

Might try both ways! It’s the shredded coconut I’m not a fan of, I think the coconut oil is ok. Thanks

Sooo good. One of the first in my list too. My recipe is just slightly different but I have not met a Nanaimo bar I didn’t love!
