I noticed a big change when I eliminated nightshades for a few months and then slowly reintroduced them. It seems like my insides healed up a bit and can now handle things again, at least in smaller doses.
Actually the cool part of herbalism is not isolating what mainstream medicine consider the active part. Herbalism is holistic in a couple of ways one of them is the use of whole plants with the understanding that plant developed a combination of chemical to balance each other.
Thanks for sharing, Danni! I noticed that I experience heartburn when I eat tomatoes and peppers specifically. It's so interesting to learn the science behind these foods and how they affect people differently.
Our food is interesting. We are not all one size fits all and sometimes food that on paper should be healthy for us is not always the case in real life.
That's an interesting thing to say, since so many doctors discuss it as if it WERE a real diagnosis( Dr. Steven Gundry, Dr. David Perlmutter, many others). Also, Harvard Medical School writes about it online herehttps://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/leaky-gut-what-is-it-and-what-does-it-mean-for-you-2017092212451

Yes me too. I removed them because they affected my skin/rosacea. But now I can have them in small amounts with now issues.
Capsicum is a pain reliever I use it topically and internally in small dosage with other herbs for pain.
Yes some plant chemistry has some great uses when we isolate them from the other parts that don’t.

"leaky gut" is not a real condition or diagnosis
There are many medical doctors who disagree. And thanks for blocking me from subscribing.
