It’s ironic to know that he changed his mind after the damage was done. It will be another 20 or 30 years to un-brainwash everyone and get back to where we started.

Why did Keyes want to push fats as the problem, so much that he chose evidence to support that?

It comes down to money and the fact that he created this narrative and was so far deep into it, that there was no turning back. He was a very persuasive man, and ended up getting the support from the American Heart Assoc, who in turn received 1.7M from Proctor and Gamble to promote low fat and promote their products such as Crisco.

But why did he create that narrative in the first place? Was he already being paid to ignore sugar? Did his selection of the seven countries come first or later?

It only did he lie but I’d almost say he was evil! The damage that his hypothesis has done to the health of the people in the western world!!!! I read recently that this was debunked in 2000 and yet, people still think fat will make you fat in 2024. It is so hard to undo that message!

Agreed. So many people have spoken out about this but still the narrative is so strong. Even amongst some natural health practitioners. We just need to keep informing people

I hope you had a great vacation, Danni! Thanks for sharing this - I wasn't familiar with Ancel Keys. I look forward to part 2!

Thanks Christina. It was amazing. Can’t wait to go back to experience the European lifestyle again soon.

I am sure there are many people in the medical/health profession that do not know who he is either. Which is sad considering his study’s results are still the basis of what we are told about nutrition and fat/cholesterol intake
