So if a person is vegetarian and wants to avoid red meat, what are the best supplements to get these, and are the plant-based or synthetic ones going to do the job? A hard question.

Great question..choline and carnitine are available in some plant foods such as nuts/seeds, legumes, grains, avocadoes. But like I mentioned in the article, it can be hard to get the optimal level just from plant based foods. And we just absorb more nutrients from the animal based foods. I liken it to getting parts for your Mac computer..We can use PC parts for cheaper but the computer may not work to its full functionality.

You can get all these nutrients in a supplement form individually or you can take an essential amino acid supplement which are the precursors to manufacturing these nutrients in the body.
